I'm home from a 30 day stay. I am so grateful for the incredible care that I received. I've been in a lot of hospitals in the past 10 years, all we're great but I have to say that my experience at Salem Hospital was second to none. The wonderful staff went the extra mile in every instance. High praise all around. With Thanksgiving next week, I now have one more thing to be grateful for. Peace

Went to the ER on Sunday with a bit of an embarrassing problem. The front desk told me that they don't offer what i was looking for, but told me I could talk to a nurse and see.

My son required follow-up rabies shots, which meant additional visits—three more times to be exact. Every single time we came in, every person we interacted with was absolutely incredible. The kindness, patience, and professionalism of the entire staff made what could have been a traumatic experience into something seamless and reassuring.

My experience at Salem Hospital was overall positive. I was taken into triage and given a room fairly quickly, which I appreciated. The staff were friendly and professional, and the doctors were attentive in evaluating my condition within a reasonable time frame.

Today, my Mom went into radiology to have a biopsy and was greatly taken care of by NP. Melissa Dunford. My mom speaks and understands very little English so she was super nervous! This was her first surgery and wanted me with her every step of the way. Unfortunately, that was not possible, which is understandable. I waited in my car instead of the waiting room. Melissa called me to let me know the procedure went well and where to go to wait for my mom. My mom told me Melissa was very compassionate and kind, and I truly appreciate her for that! Honestly, the energy of the team that took care of me completely changed everything I think about hospitals. All my life, i’ve been in and out of hospitals for different reasons. From hernia operations, to my appendix almost rupturing, to crohns disease, to plenty other health related visits…but this experience changed alot in me and helped me find out alot about myself and the people around me. Kelley (RN) that took care of me on the 9th floor was an angel. She talked to me in the most human way possible. I was stressing alot being in here. I couldn’t take care of my family, I couldn’t make any moves for my family, nothing. She gave me some advice that i’ll never forget and i’ll always hold close. Alaina was my first nurse and she set the tone as well. She was attentive, smart, nice, energetic, and always assisted with anything. I had a couple assistants but the names I kind of forgot because my nurses names stuck with me. There was also a Nurse Practitioner that came in here and talked to me for awhile and I literally did not even remember her name but she had one of the biggest impacts on me as well and I feel apologetic within myself because like…these nurses…they were amazing. And they changed the outcome of something that was going completely south. I will hold this visit close to my heart because in the military I didn’t have help with my health and mental…I got out and became a civilian and the same thing happened…but these humans/angels showed me what it feels like to be taken care of…job or not, the mental crutch that comes with taking care of humans from different backgrounds, places, stressors, mental breakdowns, pasts, and traumas…you guys handled everything at a level to where I could NOT even explain the amount of gratitude I have. This literally changed my life forever and thank you to the doctors as well I think his name was Dr. Orange? You all are AMAZING. Mary, ANGEL. Im sorry if I switch so much but my emotions are booming right now haha but…man. Thank you. OH AND ALLISON. Sorry as the names come i’m just dropping them. I love you all. Genuinely. Love isn’t measured by how long you’ve known someone but by the value and energy they bring to your life. You all really saved me in ways you’ll never know. THANK. You. Cannot say ENOUGH GOOD about ALL departments in this hospital. First - a NOTE to the people who did not like their visit - please Get A Life - - it's a HOSPITAL, NOT a SPA - there are hundreds of people per DAY - - EVERY experience I have had over the years has been EXCELLENT. Hey! EMERGENCY ROOMS ARE CROWDED with LONG WAITS EVERYWHERE! Every employee I met was courteous and doing their jobs - especially that lovely DELTA LADY from TUTWILER in Emergency. THANKS to ALL of you for making a MISERABLE DAY BETTER.

My wife was treated for bloodclots in one of her legs. The procedure was successful and we were treated well by all the staff, but one exceptional shining star was Dr. Fatima Charara. She took the time to address all of our concerns and dropped by several times to check in on us. Each and every time her bedside manner was exceptional and she displayed a genuine concern for our welfare.

Doctors and nurses made me feel comfortable, catered to my needs. When it was time to leave, never felt rushed. It was take your time, go slow. Go when you're ready.

I go here regularly for testing and it's always clean and bright. The staff are courteous, friendly, and more often than not, cheerful. I can't speak to the emergency room experience, but the lab and other testing departments are great.
